One of our favourite Android phones, the One X (see our review here), is now available on most South African networks, but now its sister phones, the One S and One V, are available on Vodacom and MTN as well. HTC‘s latest high end smartphone is an absolute beauty, with a great looking white polycarbonate shell while also sporting a massive display. So, where do you look if you want HTC’s latest and greatest?
TR McCrow, HTC Business Manager Sub Saharan Africa, confirms that the HTC One Range has launched across the mobile networks in South Africa with stock of the three phones in the range having been supplied to the various mobile network operators and service providers, who have or are in the process of launching them on various packages.
So far Vodacom seems to have the best deals for the One series phones
We found that Vodacom has the One series available on a broad range of contracts – from low end to high end. Here are some the better deals we found:
The HTC One X is available on Vodacom‘s Smart Standard package for R399 per month over 24 months and includes a 150MB data bundle, 115 minutes and 150 SMS per month.
The HTC One S is now being bundled with the Beats Headset, an in-ear headset, on Vodacom‘s Smart Standard package for R359 per month over 24 months and includes a 150MB data bundle, 115 minutes and 150 SMS per month.
The HTC One V is available on Vodacom‘s Smart Light package for R199 per month over 24 months and includes a 100MB data bundle, 75 off-peak minutes and 20 anytime minutes per month.

The HTC One X is also available through MTN on the following package:
The HTC One X for R349 per month over 24 months and includes a 75MB data bundle and R200 worth of airtime. MTN also does not seem to market the One X offers too well – searching for offers on their MTN Direct site does not give any results.
Our bet? Go with the Vodacom Smart Deals for now. MTN’s 75MB data bundle on an high end Android phone is just a joke. Any high end smartphone needs as much data as possible to be used effectively.
