    SwiftKey Flow Coming Soon

Every once in a while a third party application comes along that can change or enhance the entire experience on your mobile device. SwiftKey was this kind of app when it came along, and it has only improved with every iteration. SwiftKey 3 won the Mobile World Congress Award for Innovation in 2012.

For those of you that aren‘t familiar with SwiftKey, it‘s a keyboard that understands how words work together. It gives brilliantly accurate corrections and predictions and even sloppy typing will magically make sense, even when you miss spaces. It learns the words and phrases you use by connecting to your blog, Gmail, Facebook, Twitter etc. and also how you interact with the keyboard as you use it. It then learns as you go and makes typing easier over time. It supports over 50 languages and can also learn and predict multi-lingual typing for those that like to mix up their languages in every day speech. I can honestly say it‘s probably the best cash I‘ve spent on any mobile platform.

Now, though, SwiftKey are hoping to take on the gesture controlled keyboards as well. SwiftKey Flow, as they call it, will enter beta phase soon. It will take on the gesture typing apps like Swype, working in the same manner, with the exception that it will be complimented by SwiftKey‘s renowned prediction features.

It will go through a public Beta phase before becoming available to everyone. If you want to participate in the SwiftKey Flow Beta, you have to join the VIP program and opt-in. You will then receive an email that looks like this:

Thank you for registering your interest in SwiftKey Flow. We‘re very pleased that so many of you are eager to help us test it out.

SwiftKey Flow is very nearly ready for beta testing. When it is, you‘ll receive an email with instructions on how to download it and how to leave us feedback. Your comments are very important to us ““ you‘ll be a vital part of making sure that the public release of SwiftKey with SwiftKey Flow is our best keyboard yet.

To make sure that you receive the SwiftKey Flow testing email and it doesn‘t end up in your spam folder, please add feedback@swiftkey.net to your list of contacts.

In the meantime, why not nominate SwiftKey in the TechCrunch 2012 Crunchies? We‘d love it if you could nominate us here http://bit.ly/skcrunchie and let your friends know.

    All the best,

    Evan Tapper,

    SwiftKey Community Manager
