Microsoft has announced Â on its website that it will be expanding its Surface range of PCs with the latest Surface Windows 8 Pro model.
Powered byÂ an Intel Core i5 processor, the SurfaceÂ will be available in 64GB and 128GB and come bundled withÂ Surface Pen that lets users “edit, collaborate and get things done”.
According to Microsoft the latest model “provides the power and performance of a laptop in a tablet package”.
In addition,Â Surface Windows RT will be available in 13 additional markets worldwide.
â€œThe response to Surface has been exciting to see,â€ said Panos Panay, general manager, Microsoft Surface. â€œWeâ€™re thrilled to continue growing the Surface family with the availability of Surface Windows 8 Pro on Feb. 9 and by increasing the number of places customers can experience Surface firsthand.â€
The Surface Â Windows 8 Pro will be available for customers in the U.S and Canada on the 9th February at an estimated retail price of US$899.
In recent Microsoft Surface news, an analyst at UBS estimated that Microsoftâ€™s Q2 earnings will be less than expected, having sold only 1 million units of what he originally projected for the Surface tablet.
This is in comparison to Apple who isÂ expected to have made iPad sales of around 20 million units during the holiday season cycle.
