Samsung has released a new tie in with Gotham’s caped crusader, revealing its new Batman-themed Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition smartphone.
Could this be the phone we don’t deserve, but the one that we need? Samsung has released its Batman-themed Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition to commemorate the third anniversary of superhero brawler Injustice: Gods Among Us.
In true Samsung fashion, this might take the cake on our recent list of the worst named smartphones, but it certainly will appeal to fans of Gotham’s caped crusader.
The Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition sports a Batman symbol on its back panel and includes a Gear VR headset, a gold plated Batarang, and a rubber phone case which is ‘modeled after Batman’s armor’.
Younghee Lee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, stated in a press release that “We are excited to partner with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and offer a special edition of Galaxy S7 Edge for fans of Injustice: Gods Among Us. Samsung always seeks to provide the best mobile gaming experience for its users, and this partnership reinforces our commitment to the game‘s fans.”
Consumers who’re fans of another certain comic book universe might be irked that Samsung has crossed the river from its recent Galaxy S6 Edge, which sported an Avengers edition.
Unfortunately, the Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition might never see light of day in South Africa, and will only be available in China, Singapore, South Korea, Latin America, and Russia.
