Moto X revealed, official announcement 1 August

We finally have some confirmation of the looks of the upcoming Moto X from Motorola, the first device designed with Google at the helm after making the acquisition more than a year ago. The leak comes from notorious leaker @evleaks on Twitter, which has always been accurate when making something available to the public.

Motorola has been clear that custom colours will be released, so customers don‘t necessarily have to choose between the white and black. We have no news as to availability in SA, but don‘t expect it to hit our shores soon, if ever. The device is being built in the US, so those export and import costs could make the device too expensive to justify the purchase for a mid to high-end smartphone. It will be comparable to last year‘s flagships, but will come at a fraction of the price in the US.

Still, we can dream. Do you like the look of the new Moto X?
