Do you miss the days when Android giants such would release a flagship phone and follow that effort up with a smaller, mini variant? If so, you may be in luck – new reports have suggested that LG might release a smaller sibling device to accompany its flagship LG G6 in the form of the LG Q6.
LG recently published an invitation for a launch event to be held on July 11th, giving indication that we’ll be introduced to a device dubbed the LG Q6 on that date.
Notoriously accurate smartphone leaker Evan Blass has claimed that the Q6 will be a 5.4″ effort with 3GB of RAM, and will share the G6’s FullVision display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Interestingly, Blass claims that the LG Q6 won’t carry the G6’s dual-camera array, and will instead possess a 13-megapixel primary camera.
The Q6 would be another extension to the G6 family; Apart from the disastrous LG G5, LG has typically offered its flagship devices in a family format comprised of a core unit, stylus-based device, and a ‘Mini’ variant.
LG recently revealed the LG G6+ in South Korea, meaning that the LG Q6 could arrive with the intention of forming a trinity – despite not carrying the G6 banner in name.
